今年夏天閃電宣布退休的「石佛」Tim Duncan（鄧肯），19日也閃電獲得昔日母隊聖安東尼奧馬刺退休其21號球衣殊榮，隊史第8人。
「我可以跟你說，我今天賭贏了一大筆錢，因為我演講超過30秒了。」Duncan開玩笑地說。
「我要對你們說，球迷、還有聖安東尼奧的所有人，謝謝你們。」Duncan說：「你們對我的愛與支持無與倫比，我的隊友們都告訴我他們從我這裡獲得很多，我也從他們那裡有所收穫。」
馬刺在1997年以狀元籤選進Duncan，他也替馬刺鞠躬盡瘁，19年替球隊捧回5座總冠軍，他累積的得分26496排名史上第14，籃板15091個史上第6，阻攻3020次史上第5。
正由於他非凡的貢獻，馬刺球團今天送給全場球迷每人一件印有Duncan照片的T恤，全隊也穿著21號的黑白球襪出戰。
前隊友們沒讓Duncan失望，馬刺今天以113：100輕取紐奧良鵜鶘，接下他位置的LaMarcus Aldridge攻下22分，新一哥Kawhi Leonard得到13分。
「這是我們一定要贏的一場比賽，我們非常想贏。」跟Duncan共事14個年頭的Manu Ginobili說。
「今天的慶祝儀式對於我們來說非常、非常重要，乃至於教練、球隊、城市，都很重要。」Ginobili說：「這傢伙太特別了，就算我們輸了，我想也是充滿情緒的一晚。」
